What you need to know before migrating your store data from osCommerce to Zen Cart.

Why is only one product image displayed after migration to Zen Cart?

In Zen Cart, when a product has multiple images, the images are typically named according to the following format: [name]_[position].[extension]. For example, for a product with three images named "shirt.jpg", the images would be:

  • "shirt.jpg" (main image)
  • "shirt_1.jpg" (second image)
  • "shirt_2.jpg" (third image)

Our migration tool is designed to upload images to Zen Cart following this naming convention. However, if your Zen Cart website has been customized to allow flexible image naming, the storefront may only display the main image, even though all images were uploaded. This happens because the customized settings on your Zen Cart may not recognize or display the additional images correctly.

If your Zen Cart store has been customized in this way, we can modify the migration tool to work with your setup. Let us know, and we’ll make the necessary adjustments.

The short answer is Yes. Within 1 year from the date of purchase, you can re-migrate data whenever you want with our dedicated support.

Moreover, our migration also has an option that allows you to migrate only new data (products, categories, customers, orders, etc.) that have not been migrated in the previous migration. It's called Recent Data Migration and you can do it as many times as you want as well.

Featured images, gallery images, and images within the descriptions of products, categories, blog posts, and pages will be downloaded and saved to your Target Store.

Yes. Our Custom Migration will help you migrate data to any third-party modules/extensions on the new website. You can also add custom work to your purchased migration by upgrading it.

The link between customers and orders will be preserved on your Target store if they all are transferred through our migration tool. Consequently, your customers will see all past orders in their account dashboard on your new website.
