BigCommerceTheme setup, checkout settings, payments, taxes, shipping, apps, channels, and live integrations are Target Platform implementation tasks, not ordinary migrated records. Plan and test them in BigCommerce alongside the migration, while using Next-Cart to validate the agreed catalog, customer, order, content, and redirect data.
Some supported data can be migrated or mapped, but segmented pricing, B2B records, channel assignments, multi-storefront relationships, app-owned data, and external identifiers may need special configuration or Custom Service review. BigCommerce-side channel, storefront, and pricing setup should be treated separately from ordinary record transfer and validated before launch.
First confirm how each source product choice should appear in BigCommerce: as a variant, option, modifier, custom field, or another structure. Clear catalog structures may fit Standard Service, while modifier-heavy customization, bespoke pricing, or unsupported field handling may require Add-ons or Custom Service. Demo Migration should include both variant-heavy and modifier-like products.
Yes, our migration tool supports transferring related products to BigCommerce. However, cross-sell and up-sell product links are not supported by BigCommerce.
If you are going to migrate orders to BigCommerce, please go to Settings > Order notifications and turn off all order notifications before you start the migration. Don't forget to turn them on when you put the site live.
In Zen Cart, product images typically follow a specific naming convention when there are multiple images for a single product. The images are named in the format: [name]_[position].[extension]. For example, if a product has three images and the main image is named "shirt.jpg", the images would be named as follows:
Our migration tool is designed to detect and migrate images according to this naming rule. However, some Zen Cart websites are customized to allow flexible naming for product images, which may not follow this convention. In such cases, only the main image will be transferred during the migration, as additional images may not be detected by our standard migration tool.
If your Zen Cart store has been customized to allow arbitrary image naming, and you're experiencing this issue, we can customize the migration tool to accommodate your specific setup. Please let us know, and we'll adjust the tool accordingly.
Our migration tool supports migrating both custom options and variants to BigCommerce.
On BigCommerce, each product can have up to 600 variations.
