This data policy will explain what data may be stored and collected when you use our migration tool and service, how we use this data, and under what circumstances we may disclose the information to third parties.

 

What data will be collected when you use the migration tool?

When you use the migration tool, it will collect these kinds of data:

For open-source carts:

  • Site URL
  • Your KitConnect credentials

For cloud-based carts:

  • Site URL
  • API credentials

For carts using files:

  • Site URL
  • Data files

 

What data will be stored when you use the migration tool?

When you use the migration tool, this data is automatically stored on our migration cloud server:

  • Source store URL
  • Target store URL
  • IDs of entities on the source store
  • IDs of entities on the target store
  • Migration configuration that you have made
  • When you perform the migration
  • The number of times you use the migration tool

Note: For entities migrated from a Source Cart to a Target Cart, data will be fractionally processed via the migration tool, not stored on our migration cloud server.

 

What data will be collected when you request support?

When you request technical support, our support team may ask for the following data:

For open-source carts:

  • Site URL
  • FTP/SFTP/SSH/cPanel/hosting access

For cloud-based carts:

  • Site URL
  • Site admin access
  • API credentials

For carts using files:

  • Site URL
  • Site admin access
  • Data files

 

How your data is stored and protected?

Your data is stored on our secure cloud server under extremely strict layers of security. All data is stored as encrypted strings and can only be accessed and read by our technicians.

Under no circumstances will all this data be shared with any third party unless your permission or request is made.

 

What are your data protection rights?

Next-Cart wants to ensure that you are fully aware of all your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

  • The right to access – You have the right to request Next-Cart to provide all data and information stored during your migration. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
  • The right to erasure – You have the right to request Next-Cart to delete all data collected and stored during your use of the migration tool and service.
  • The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request Next-Cart to restrict the processing of your data under certain conditions.
  • The right to data portability – You have the right to request Next-Cart to transfer the data that we have collected and stored during your use of the migration tool and service to another organization or directly to you, under certain conditions.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond. If you demand to execute any of these rights, please go to the Contact page, select the form Send a Message, fill in the necessary information and submit it to us.

 

Data recommendations for users (*)

To ensure the highest security and prevent all kinds of risks, Next-Cart makes the following recommendations to service users:

For open-source carts:

  • Remove the KitConnect file from all your sites once the migration is complete.
  • Change all FTP/SFTP/SSH/cPanel/hosting credentials in case you have provided.

For cloud-based carts:

  • Modify/delete all API credentials you used for migration purposes.
  • Change all admin login information in case you have provided.

For carts using files:

  • Change all admin login information in case you have provided.
